"Big City, Bright Lights" (1993)
Demo Song
Background Information
In Bill Flanagan’s book U2 At The End of the World he spends some time in studio with them as they record Zooropa, and one of the songs they work on in studio with Brian Eno is called “Big City, Bright Lights”. The book mentions that Bono is making up lyrics about “coffee stains, ghosts, and streets.”
A small snippet of improvised Bono lyrics is included in the book, “Think about forever…think about the rain…desperate sea. Jacob’s ladder rescue me.”
