"Revolution of the Heart" (1993)
Demo Song
Background Information
In BP Fallon’s book Faraway So Close, Fallon tells stories of visiting the control room while U2 is working on Zooropa. He says the band had a number of songs they were working on:
Bono takes you into the Green Room to play you some tapes, fumbles for the song that he and Edge wrote for Al Green called ‘Revolution of the Heart’ but can’t find it. He pokes at the machine trusting some button will do something and whoosh! The speakers crackle with a sound like Madonna on helium.
Al Green has never recorded a song by that title, so we’ve chosen to list it here among the U2 songs from Zooropa that didn’t develop into a finished product.
