Background Information
“Spun Around” is one of a number of songs developed by Bono and The Edge for the musical, “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.” Bono at one point in late 2009 spoke about possibly recording the Spider-Man music with U2, “If we’re going to do another rock record, I want to do Spider-Man,” he said. “I just haven’t talked Adam and Larry into that.” Thankfully that threat didn’t come to pass, however, someday it may.
“Spun Around” is a song title that was used early in the development of the musical. According to the book Song of Spider-Man by Glen Berger, this song became the song “Bouncing Off the Walls”. That song was recorded and features on the soundtrack recording. On that soundtrack the song is recorded by Reeve Carney and Jennifer Damiano and features T.V. Carpio. The soundtrack was released on June 13, 2011.
